My on my 41st birthday.
Taco Bell brings social engagement into the store! Took my son for a run to the boarder today and was surprised by the addition of an actual bell next to the exit with a sign ‘ring the bell if you liked your meal’. We rang it and the staff yelled back “Thank You!”. The simple addition of the bell reinforced Taco Bell’s brand identity while also allowing me and the staff to make a social connection. This low tech tactics is a great example of how consumers and brands can make connections that reinforce the product experience.
Love it!
Crayola has launched three new web sites this summer as the 100 plus year icon in creative self expression starts to go digital:
www.crayola.com/play-zone/play.cfm www.livcrayola.com www.popartpixies.com
And as the digital guy at Crayola I’m very proud of the teams that put these engaging interactive experiences together!
Just a thought. Some say dogs don’t actually love their human families. They only appear to as a mechanism to get more food. What if we build a computer that needs something, say electricity, and will do anything, even show pseudo emotions to get it?
Is there a future, say 500 years from now, where we would select which country we associate ourselves with? I could be a Norwegian while my neighbor was a Liberian all with a simple selection on our annual tax form. I would get all the benefits of a Norwegian while paying 60%+ tax. Countries would offer incentives to entice virtual immigrants. Individuals could weigh the benefits of each countries economic and social policies to meet their own unique needs. New landless countries would emerge sponsored by brands like “Walmartopia”. What an interesting dynamic might emerge.
I’ve some thoughts that are probably best kept to myself. So of course I’ll share.
